OAR 437-007-0805: Mechanical Falling

(1) The minimum distance between mechanical falling machines or personnel must be twice the height of the trees being felled. NOTE: Increase this distance where the operation of mechanical falling machines creates the possibility of thrown or flying objects. (2) Mobile tree falling machines must be designed or have attachments installed to cause the tree to fall in the intended direction.
