OAR 437-007-0520: Vehicle General Requirements

(1) A positive engine shut-off must be provided within reach of the operator when in normal operating position. (2) Vehicles must be equipped with adequate steps, ladders, handholds, or grab bars to provide safe access and egress. (3) Steps must be constructed or treated with slip-resistant materials. (4) Vehicle seats must be securely fastened. (5) Doors must open easily.
