“Traffic offense” means any of the following offenses: (1) Any violation of a traffic ordinance of a city, municipal or quasi-municipal corporation, except ordinances governing parking of vehicles. (2) Any provision of law for which a criminal or traffic violation penalty is provided in the vehicle code. [1983 c.338 §101; 1985 c.16 §27; 1999 c.1051 §84; 2015 c.138 §17]
