(1) Optional services are services provided to: (a) A worker who is not eligible for vocational assistance; or (b) A worker who is eligible for vocational assistance, in excess of the services described in these rules. (2) Optional services are provided at the discretion of the insurer. (3) The insurer may not use optional services to circumvent the intent of these rules.
