OAR 340-093-0005: Purpose and Applicability

The purpose of OAR 340, divisions 93 through 97 is to prescribe requirements, limitations, and procedures for storage, collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of solid waste. All persons storing, collecting, transporting, treating and disposing of solid waste in this state are subject to the provisions of OAR 340, division 93 (“General Provisions”), in addition to any other rules in OAR 340, divisions 94, 95, 96, and 97 governing the appropriate specific type of solid waste disposal site.
