OAR 309-091-0000: Purpose and Scope

(1) These rules establish and define the criteria which support the proper management and utilization of services provided by the Oregon state hospital system, by limiting admissions to those most severely symptomatic individuals whose treatment and recovery needs cannot be met in a community treatment setting. (2) These rules apply to all individuals admitted into any state hospital setting, and address differences which occur due to each individual’s legal status.
