OAR 230-150-0010: Purpose

The purpose of this section is to establish a process by which a person may be recognized and approved as an Amateur Athletic Organization (AAO) to supervise and oversee the conduct of authorized amateur unarmed combat sports in the state of Oregon. No person shall sanction or hold an event or otherwise oversee or conduct an unarmed combat sports event without authorization to do so by the superintendent. This chapter applies to all unarmed combat sports as defined in ORS 463.
